Heating fails on the coldest night of the year. It’s never gradual.
North Texas winters are short but they bite, and a furnace that sat unused since March will pick the first hard freeze to quit.
We repair gas and electric residential heating across Frisco and the surrounding towns — ignitors, flame sensors, blower motors, thermostats, control boards and heat exchangers. Same $99 diagnostic as our cooling work, credited the same way.
If you smell gas, leave the house
Don’t switch anything on or off. Don’t use the phone indoors. Get everyone out, then call your gas utility’s emergency line from outside. Call us afterwards.
Carbon monoxide is the one that doesn’t announce itself. It has no smell. Signs of a problem:
- Headaches, dizziness or nausea that improve when you leave the house
- A yellow burner flame instead of blue
- Soot or scorching around the furnace
- Excessive condensation on windows near the unit
If you have any of these, switch the furnace off and get out. A working CO alarm on every sleeping floor is not optional in a house with gas heat.
We will not patch a cracked heat exchanger
A cracked heat exchanger lets combustion gases — including carbon monoxide — into the air your furnace blows through the house. There is no safe repair for it. Anyone offering to seal, weld or patch one is selling you something dangerous.
If we find a crack, we red-tag the unit, shut it down, and tell you it needs replacing. We’d rather lose the job than hand you back a furnace that can hurt someone.
That’s also why we test for it rather than assuming. A furnace that’s fine gets fixed and stays in service — we’re not looking for reasons to condemn equipment.

Heat pumps
Plenty of Frisco homes run heat pumps rather than gas furnaces, especially newer builds and homes without a gas connection. The same system does your cooling and your heating, which means a heating fault in January often shows up as an AC fault in July.
