If your AC failed tonight, call — don’t fill in a form.

A form is fine tomorrow morning. If it’s 11pm in August and the house is climbing past 85°F, phone us.

We take after-hours calls for residential systems across Frisco and the surrounding towns. You’ll get a person, a straight answer about whether we can reach you tonight, and a price before anyone starts work.

Call now

When to call tonight, and when it can wait

Call now:

  • The system is completely dead and indoor temperature is climbing
  • Burning or electrical smell — switch it off at the breaker first
  • Water actively running from the indoor unit into the ceiling or walls
  • Anyone in the house is elderly, very young, or medically vulnerable to heat

This can wait for a normal appointment:

  • Cooling is weak but working
  • Ice on the refrigerant lines — turn the system off, then book for the morning. Running it iced makes it worse; leaving it off overnight lets it thaw and costs you nothing.
  • Noise that’s new but not accompanied by a burning smell
  • The system is short cycling but still cooling

Being honest about that second list is deliberate. An after-hours callout costs more, and we’d rather tell you it can wait than charge you for a night visit you didn’t need.

Not sure which one yours is? Call and ask.

Emergency pricing

Our standard diagnostic is $99, credited to the repair. After-hours and weekend callouts carry an additional fee of $149, and you’ll be told that figure on the phone before anyone is dispatched.

Repair prices are the same as our normal rates — we don’t inflate the repair because it’s late. See our standard repair prices

While you wait

Turn the system off

If it’s iced, smelling of burning, or leaking water, switch it off at the thermostat and the breaker. Continuing to run a failed system is how a $300 repair becomes a $2,500 one.

Move air, not refrigerant

Ceiling and box fans make a real difference to how a hot house feels. Close blinds on the sun side. Keep interior doors open so the house equalises.

Check the obvious first

A tripped breaker and a filter clogged solid are both free fixes, and both are common. We’ll ask you about them on the phone before we dispatch — if that’s all it is, we’ll tell you.

Don’t add refrigerant yourself

Store-bought top-up cans mask a leak and can overcharge the system. It usually costs more to undo than the original repair would have.
