We started AC Repair Frisco because of one recurring conversation.
A homeowner calls, their AC is down, and the first thing they ask isn’t “how soon can you come” — it’s some version of “am I about to get ripped off?”
That’s a reasonable thing to ask. HVAC is a trade where the customer can’t verify the diagnosis. If a technician says the compressor is gone, almost nobody can check. And a capacitor — a part that costs a few hundred dollars to replace — can be presented as a reason to buy an entirely new system.
So we made the pricing public. The $99 diagnostic. The repair ranges by failure type. What we charge after hours. It’s all on the site before you call, which means you can decide whether we’re reasonable without a technician standing in your hallway applying pressure.
Why Frisco specifically
Frisco built out fast through the 2000s and 2010s, and a large share of those original systems are now fifteen to twenty years old. That’s the exact age where repair-versus-replace stops being obvious — and where the gap between an honest answer and a profitable one is widest.
We’d rather be the company that tells you your system has three good years left than the one that sells you a replacement it didn’t need. Sometimes that costs us the bigger job. It’s still the better business.
